Our Story
Based in Deutschland, devoted to the breed
The Biewer Terrier is a German breed — born in the Hunsrück region in 1984 to Werner and Gertrud Biewer, longtime Yorkshire Terrier breeders who recognised something extraordinary in two tricolour puppies from their kennel.
At Tierfreundly, we are based in Germany and raise our Biewer Terriers with deep respect for that origin story. Every puppy is home-raised, gently socialised, and prepared for a loving forever home with full health documentation and the patient attention this rare breed deserves.
Recognised by the AKC in 2021 and by Germany's VDH in May 2024, the Biewer Terrier today carries its heritage proudly — and we are honoured to be part of its story.
